Madonna Galeano - Lawyer

Madonna was admitted as solicitor in 2014 and since that time has practised in both commercial litigation and employment law. Madonna has advised and acted in a wide range of disputes including award entitlements, show cause processes, unfair dismissal applications, Fair Work prosecutions for underpayment of wages and stop bullying order applications. Madonna also has knowledge and experience in contract drafting and award interpretation.

Madonna has appeared for clients in State Courts and the Federal Courts, the Fair Work Commission and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).


Madonna was born and raised in Cairns before undertaking her Bachelor of Laws in Brisbane at the Queensland University of Technology. Madonna returned to Cairns, following the completion of her tertiary education, to practise law in Cairns and to give back to her community. Madonna was an active and dedicated member of the executive committee of the Far North Queensland Law Association up until March 2017 and has volunteered at the Cairns Community Legal Centre.

Madonna is a passionate results driven advocate who is focussed on providing excellent customer service and working with clients to achieve outcomes and change.

Madonna is excited about the future of employment law and workplace relations, and in particular, the focus on organisational change and transformation of workplace culture.
